A side hustle. A different idea.
Mostly Mint began in February 2022 as a college side hustle. Our founder was studying BBA in Indore, with a longstanding interest in clothing and a wish to build something independently.
Around October and November 2021, discovering thrifting through Instagram opened up a different possibility. Thrifting in India was still a relatively small, emerging space. Instead of starting another conventional clothing brand built around repetitive graphics and mass-produced designs, the idea was to look for what already existed, and what made it worth finding.
Garments with character. Quality and good construction. Interesting designs, strong brands and a sense of individuality.
The store started small. Piece by piece, it evolved into a curated vintage and thrift destination.
Selected individually. Prepared with care.
Every product is individually selected. Before a piece reaches the website, it goes through inspection and condition checking, cleaning or dry cleaning where appropriate, ironing or steaming, measurements, photography and its own product listing. Careful packaging is part of the process too.
Our goal is not to sell as many pieces as possible. It is to find pieces worth owning.
One-of-one, not one of many.
Many Mostly Mint products are unique, one-of-one finds. Once a piece is gone, it may not come back. That sense of discovery is part of what makes vintage and thrift exciting: finding something that feels like yours, rather than something everyone else has.
Good style has a past.
We don’t believe great style needs to come straight off a production line. Vintage clothing can carry character, history, construction and individuality that make it worth discovering.
Mostly Mint is about finding those pieces.
More than a transaction.
Mostly Mint has grown through its customers and community. It is about discovering pieces, styling them, gifting them, collecting them and giving good clothing another life.
